Official statement of beliefs for Christians on Campus

  • We believe that the Bible with its sixty-six books is the word of God, and that it is the complete and only divine revelation (2 Timothy 3:16).
  • We believe that there is one God (Isaiah 45:5; Galatians 3:20). He is self-existing and eternally existing. He is also eternally the Father, Son, and Spirit (Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 7:3; Hebrews 9:14). These three coexist and are distinct (Matthew 3:16-17), but are not separate (John 14:10).
  • We believe that the Son of God, God Himself, while not abandoning His divinity, was incarnated to become a real and genuine man--Jesus Christ (John 1:1, 14). He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a human virgin, and lived a perfect and sinless human life on earth. He ministered the gospel of the kingdom, and through His vicarious death on the cross, terminated everything negative in the universe, and reconciled everything created by God (Colossians 1:20). After three days, He resurrected bodily and ascended into the heavens. He is now in glory--fully God yet fully man. He will return soon with His kingdom to receive His bride and reign in His kingdom during the millennium and in eternity (Revelation 11:15).
  • We believe that the Spirit is equally and eternally God (John 4:24). All that God is and has is embodied in the Son (Colossians 2:9); and all that the Son is and has accomplished, attained, and obtained is realized as the Spirit (John 15:26).
  • We believe that man needs God and God's salvation, and that God desires all men to be saved and come to the full knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). Man fell and became dead in offenses and sins and could not fulfill the demands of God’s righteousness, holiness and glory. Through believing in Jesus Christ and based upon Christ's righteous redeeming death, God justifies man (Romans 3:24) and regenerates man with His Spirit (1 Peter 1:3). The believers participate in God's salvation through which they are sanctified wholly and preserved complete (1 Thessalonians 5:23).
  • We believe that the church is composed of all believers throughout time and in every place (1 Corinthians 1:2). They are the children of God and the many members of the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27).
  • We believe that in eternity we will dwell with God in the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:2).
